Have you ever thought about trying something new but never quite found the time? Adult Learners Week is the perfect reminder that it’s never too late to learn something new!
This year, Macquarie Community College once again celebrated Adult Learners Week with enthusiasm and energy. Held over two vibrant days at our Blacktown and Epping campuses, the event saw an incredible turnout, with adult learners eager to participate in our free taster classes and demonstrations.
MCC Team welcomed Stephen Bali, NSW State member for Blacktown, joining us for the event.
During his time with us, Stephen had an engaging conversation with our CEO, Theresa Collignon, and MCC team. He also took a moment to visit some of the classes, witnessing firsthand the vibrant learning environment we offer.
The atmosphere was electric as participants explored new skills and connected with like-minded individuals. Classes were available in Yoga and Tai Chi, Acrylic Pouring and Drawing, Barista Skills, Flower Arrangements, Basic Computers Skills and many others.
Our CEO, Theresa Collignon, who attended the event, emphasised the College’s commitment to lifelong learning, stating:
“It was inspiring to see so many adults from diverse backgrounds come together to explore new skills and passions during Adult Learners Week. This celebration is a testament to the power of lifelong learning to transform lives and build stronger, more inclusive communities.
At Macquarie Community College, we create and provide affordable and inclusive learning opportunities that meet the needs of individuals, organisations and communities.”
MCC team dedicates its work to make education accessible and inclusive. We strive to keep our programs affordable so that motivated learners can achieve their lifelong learning goals, no matter where they are in their educational journey.
