Studying English pays off for Jennifer’s career!
Jennifer immigrated to Australia a few years ago and struggled to find a job as an Accountant due to her low level of English. After a friend recommended she study English language at Macquarie Community College, her English communication skills drastically improved, along with her confidence, and helped her find her dream role in the industry! Harmony Day 2019 – Where Everyone Belongs
Macquarie Community College is an educational institution but in many ways we are also very much a community where we “walk together and talk together” to deepen our intercultural understanding and personal bonds, regardless of our beliefs, backgrounds, colour, abilities or other “differences”. Today is a day where we celebrate the richness of working and living in our diverse multicultural communities of learners.

On International Women’s Day, it’s important to reflect on how participation in education and training empowers women, enabling them to create better futures for themselves, their families and their communities.The majority of our motivated learners at Macquarie Community College are women, many of whom are mature aged students balancing their busy lives of study, work, volunteering and family commitments. We are here to celebrate and support the learning journey of the thousands of women enrolled each year in our courses.
