You will learn all about modern hand-held bouquets with seasonal flowers, floral gift wrapping, glass vase arrangements and more.
Making dreams a reality: An initiative of the Sydney Greater West CALD Working Group
Asraa Al Saadi was a medical doctor in Romania before coming to Australia and struggling for years to find a role. She tried pathways such as Seek, Indeed, Jora and LinkedIn without any success.
Asraa attended the 2023 Blacktown Employment Accelerator in October 2023 and believes “a miracle happened to me that day.”
Junaya and Macquarie Community College celebrate successful partnership
A community-based organisation with a history of over 20 years in the Blacktown region, Junaya began as a pilot program to support people who typically fell into the gaps – people that needed help but didn’t fit the criteria for other offerings. Junaya assists the entire community – from first time parents looking to connect with others, all the way through to parents involved with child protection concerns.
Tutor Spotlight: Louise Maitland
Louise Maitland’s journey into the world of flower arranging began as a hobby while her three children were young and growing up. She pursued her interest further by taking flower arrangement courses and gaining work experience in local flower shops. This experience ignited her passion for the flower industry.

The acceleration of digitalisation has left many behind, creating distinct gaps and disparity in access, affordability, and skills in using computers, phones, and tablets.

Many of us dream of trying something new but somehow never seem to get around to it. Adult Learners Week is a great chance to remind us ‘’it’s never too late to learn something new!’’. It was an amazing event held over two days at our Blacktown and Epping Campuses with an incredible turn out where adult learners where excited to try out our free taster classes and demonstrations.
