- (VU22342) Identify learning objectives
Course Overview
In this workshop you will create a personal skills profile. This will identify the current and transferrable skills you already have and the skills you would like to develop.
You will then analyse your skills against the workplace skills that are currently in demand or will be in demand in the future. Through this process, you will be able to identify which skills you can easily develop in order to improve your future career opportunities.
This workshop is very practical and involves various fun activities to help you develop a personalised Skills Profile.
By the end of the workshop, you will feel empowered in your career. You will be more aware of your own skills and become more confident in further developing these skills to assist you in future employment.
This course is part of our Work Ready Program. The MCC Careers Centre can provide you with professional careers guidance and help you jump on the pathway to your next job!
We recommend that you take the first step to becoming work ready and undertake an ERS Career Development Assessment using the Employment Readiness Scale™ (ERS) tool. The ERS is an online self-assessment tool that measures how ready you are for work, identifies gaps in work readiness, creates action plans to move you towards becoming work ready and makes referrals to programs and services to help you find work.
