Course Overview
Celtic Lattice knots are an essential element of design you need to begin creating your own Celtic Art.
Celtic Art 1 includes lattice knots & step patterns, 2 of the 5 styles of patterns that make up this decorative artform that has been used and created for millennia.
Step patterns are most famously seen in ancient manuscripts such as The Book of Kells & The Lindisfarne Gospels.
I will take you step-by-step through the techniques of drawing these patterns using a simple proven method that will have you creating your own complex Celtic patterns. To complete your drawings we will explore various ways of using colour with your favourite media.
Continuing students will be provided with a project and supported with new work they are creating.
Macquarie Community College operates from a range of venues across Northern and Western Sydney. We have campuses in Blacktown, Carlingford, Chatswood, Epping, Mt Druitt, Richmond, and Ryde. Enrol now!
