We will teach you most forms of embroidery techniques, including surface stitchery, traditional embroidery, smocking, embellishments including beading, patchwork and quilting, crochet, heirloom sewing and more.

Course outcome

What you need to know
Entry requirements
Students do not need to have any prior knowledge of any embroidery, stitching and needlecraft techniques. This class is suitable for beginners to advanced levels of embroidery skills.
What you need to provide
Each week you will need to bring:
- Pen and notebook
- Pencil
- Embroidery scissors
- Pins
- Tape measure
- Embroidery hoop (20cm is a good size)
- Selection of hand sewing needles
- Selection of embroidery threads
- 30cm piece of plain cotton material for practice stitches
- Thimble
