Course Overview
The Seniors Computer Club is a free informal program to assist seniors (50+ yrs old) to become more digitally literate and computer savvy.
Computers are now a part of everyday life. Having computer skills allows you to access information on the internet, connect with family and friends from across the world, shop online and more!
The Seniors Computer Club provides an opportunity for seniors to learn in a friendly, non judgmental environment with like-minded people. The club is run by an experienced digital mentor, and will provide tools and insights to allow you to become more comfortable in the digital age. Each meeting, we will focus on a specific topic of interest, provide opportunities to learn and practice skills in a supported environment and to ask more specific questions of the facilitator.
You will learn how to set up and send email, how to communicate with family and friends over Skype, how to shop and do banking on the internet, internet safety and security, social media, how to take photos using your digital device and more!
