In this workshop, you will learn the basics of blogging:
- You will learn what blogging is
- You will create a simple blog and publish a blog entry.
Course outcome
After this workshop, you will understand the benefits of blogging. You will learn:
- What is a blog
- How blogging is different to Facebook or other online publishing
- What software is needed in blogging
- How to create a simple blog and publish blog entries
- How to notify people that a new blog entry is available for reading
- We will review some good blog sites and consider what made them good
- We will also consider the privacy and security considerations of blogging

No previous knowledge required.
Prerequisite: Essential
Participants must be over 60 years old. Tech Savvy Seniors is an initiative of the NSW Ageing Strategy and is funded in partnership between the NSW Government and Telstra.
What you need to provide
An internet-connected computer, either your own or supplied by the workshop organisers. You may need to share a computer with others in the workshop.
