Course Overview

Learn the art of making café quality espresso coffees with our beginner Barista 101 – Coffee Skills Darcy St. Project class. Perfect for anyone interested in working at a café or improving their coffee making skills at home. This is a beginner class where you will cover the basics of coffee culture in addition to coffee making techniques.

This Barista 101 – Coffee Skills (Darcy St. Project) class is hands-on and each participant will be making several beverages from a typical espresso menu such as Lattes, Flat Whites, Cappuccinos, Long Blacks and other specialty coffees.

The class is delivered by coffee experts from the Darcy Street Project and it features the use of professional espresso equipment. The training is both current and aligned with the latest industry trends.

What you need to know

Entry requirements

Students do not need to have any previous experience other than loving coffee!.

What you need to provide

  • Notepad and pen
  • All participants are required to wear comfortable clothing (ideally all black to avoid coffee stains)
  • Must wear enclosed non slip shoes (no thongs, sandals or open toe footwear permitted due to safety)

  • Find a day and time that suits your schedule.

Note: Enrolment is open to anyone 18 years or older.

Step 2 - Enrol and Verify

  • Enter your details on the enrolment page.
  • Verify your email through a secure link sent to your email address.

Step 3 - Receive Your Enrolment Details
