Chinese Mandarin – Beginners

Course Overview

Learn Chinese Mandarin with our Beginners course and delve into the most widely spoken language! With over 1 billion speakers, Chinese Mandarin opens up a world of communication and cultural understanding.

Building on the foundation laid by our Introduction to Chinese Mandarin course, which students must complete or have equivalent introductory knowledge, you will immerse yourself in Chinese customs and culture, expanding your vocabulary, refining grammar skills, and delving into the nuances of adjectives and sentence structure.

Topics will include honing Chinese pronunciation, mastering the five intonations, and navigating the Chinese phonetic alphabet, known as pinyin. Additionally, you’ll be introduced to simple Chinese scripts and writing.

By the end of the course, you will be more confident in having a basic conversation in Mandarin. You will also start to master pronouncing and distinguishing between the 5 different tones in Mandarin.

Join us to not only acquire language skills but also foster a deeper appreciation for the rich cultural tapestry of the Chinese Mandarin-speaking world.
