Course Overview

Embark on a journey in home transformation with our Home Styling – Interior Design Inspiration workshop. If you’ve ever wanted to redesign your living space but felt unsure where to begin, this course is your creative starting point.

To begin you will choose through text and pictures to create a collection of ideas and designs on a mood board. Using a variety of practical exercises, you will learn to calculate room area and how to choose the appropriate finishing and furnishings. You will be provided with access to tip sheets showing paint colours and design ideas.

This course is suitable for all levels. By the end of this course, you will understand what your personal design style is, how to conduct design research, how to create a mood board as well as maximise space and improve circulation and flow within a room.

You will learn what type of furniture suits your room and design style and have greater confidence shopping for furnishings and decorative items.

Course outcome

By the end of the course, you will be able to look at the interiors of your home with a design perspective. You will know how to create a mood board, understand your design style, and how to redecorate your room with finishing and furnishings to take advantage of the space.

Entry requirements

This level is for the complete beginner and assumes no prior knowledge of Interior Design.

What you need to provide

Please bring a:

  • Pen and notepad
  • Mobile or laptop
  • Materials
  • A4 paper
  • Pencil
  • Eraser
  • Glue
  • Colour pencil or colour pen
  • Scissor
  • Old magazine (architecture, furniture, design magazine )
  • Rule
  • Photo of your favourite room (eg living room, bedroom, kids room, dining room, outdoor area. Kitchens and bathrooms are not recommended). You will need to share with other students about your room.
  • Measurement of the room you choose.
  • Other Information: You will learn about home styling and interior design, not about renovation.

  • Find a day and time that suits your schedule.

Note: Enrolment is open to anyone 18 years or older.

Step 2 - Enrol and Verify

  • Click ‘Enrol Now’ after selecting your course and schedule.
  • Enter your details on the enrolment page.
  • Verify your email through a secure link sent to your email address.
  • Complete the secure checkout and payment process.

Step 3 - Receive Your Enrolment Details
