Course Overview
Discover one of the Blue Mountains’ hidden gems, featuring diverse vegetation from dry open forests to lush rainforests with coachwoods, giant ferns, orchids, and colorful fungi. Along the bushwalk, enjoy stunning natural highlights, including beautiful mountain pools and numerous waterfalls.
Our experienced bushwalking guide, Greg Williams, has been leading walks around Sydney for over 33 years. You can book each bushwalk individually or choose the “Bushwalking – Sunday Adventure Bushwalks Package” which includes all four walks at a discounted price.
Each of our bushwalks includes morning tea with tea & coffee with delicious chocolate treats.

Entry requirements
Macquarie Community College offers a variety of bushwalks for all experience levels, from beginners to seasoned bushwalkers. Most trails are suitable for those with a reasonable level of fitness, while "introductory" graded bushwalks are ideal for those new to bushwalking.

What you need to provide
On our bushwalks you will need:
- Sturdy comfortable shoes
- Clothes for all weather conditions
- Wet weather gear (if required)
- Hat
- Small backpack
- Sunscreen, sunglasses
- Snacks, lunch
- Water bottles
Other information
- Participants should arrange their own transport to arrive at each meeting place on time, allowing the group to start as scheduled.
- We may occasionally reschedule bushwalks to alternative locations due to park closures, bushfires, flooding, or other unforeseen circumstances. We usually communicate any amendments by email or phone on the Friday or Saturday before the walk.
- To stay informed about any changes, please ensure you enroll with your current email address and mobile phone number.
Operational Conditions and Postponements
- Macquarie Community College may alter or postpone bushwalks due to extreme weather or unexpected operational conditions, such as road closures or bushfires. While we strive to follow the planned itinerary and departure times, we cannot guarantee them, and no compensation will be offered for any changes or delays.
- Our bushwalks continue in most weather conditions, including mist, fog, light rain, and wind. However, if the weather is deemed extreme, the event will be rescheduled to another date. Any pre-paid fees will be credited toward the new date or a future event.
