Course Overview
Escape to the great outdoors with our resident bushwalking guide‚ Greg Williams‚ who has been leading bushwalks around Sydney for over 33 years.
You can book each bushwalk individually or book the‘Bushwalking – Sunday Adventure Bushwalks Package’which includes all four bushwalks at a discounted price.
This journey is one of the longer and more challenging routes, but the reward is a pristine swimming hole that you will likely have all to yourself. It’s so spectacular and has the most fabulous remote feel of isolation. The water is usually crystal clear, and despite the pool being very deep you can see all the way to the bottom.
The walk from the ridge to the pool takes you from the surrounding mountains through a forest, as well as huge boulders making you feel that you have entered your own patch of pristine wilderness. This journey covers an easy first section along the ridge prior to descending a track with a number of technical sections requiring ropes and a ladder negotiation.
The route down comes alive with the sound of Bellbirds and as you near the river you enter an area strewed with ferns and a rainforest type jungle that gives you a feeling of remoteness.
All bushwalks have morning tea provided with tea, coffee and delicious chocolate treats available.
A Course Information Guide regarding the bushwalk will be provided beforehand. Please consult the Course Information Guide prior to the walk for comprehensive information on meeting places, start times, travel directions and more.
