NSW Fee-Free Training

Fee-Free Nationally Accredited Training – Enrolling Now

On Thursday 23rd November 2023, Minister Whan announced the extension of the NSW Fee Free training initiative in NSW for a further three years.

The extension will deliver 147,400 fee free places from 1 January 2024 to 30 December 2026.

As an approved provider, Macquarie Community College has fee-free training places subject to funding availability.

Under the NSW and Australian Government Fee-Free Vocational Education and Training Initiative, you may be eligible for FEE-FREE* nationally accredited training courses if you meet the eligibility criteria.

Am I eligible for Smart & Skilled Training?

If you meet the below criteria you may be eligible for Fee Free* OR subsidised* training at Macquarie Community College.

You must meet all of the following criteria:

  • 15 years old or over
  • no longer at school
  • living or working in NSW
  • Australian OR New Zealand Citizen, Australian Permanent Resident OR a Humanitarian Visa Holder, OR a Partner Visa Holder whose sponsor is a current or past Humanitarian Visa Holder.

The NSW Fee Free training initiative is available for courses that align with national and state priorities.

For courses not listed below Smart & Skilled subsidised training is available, including fee exemption training for those that meet the eligibility criteria.
